Our Speech Pathologists assess and treat children with communication difficulties in the following areas:

Treatments

Our speech pathologists can implement the following actions and treatments to improve an individuals speech:

  • Conduct a comprehensive speech/language/literacy assessment and provide a written report  
  • Conduct a school visit, where required, and collaborate with your child’s teacher to plan for consistent support for your child 
  • Work collaboratively within our multidisciplinary team of occupational therapists, psychologists, music therapists & physiotherapists 
  • Provide resources, support and training for teachers and parents 
  • Provide progress reports for the NDIS, paediatrician and teachers 
  • Value parent engagement in sessions. We conduct parent training during the sessions to ensure that the techniques are generalised at home

  • MacArthur Bates Communicative Development Inventories (for ages 8 months-37 months) 
  • Diagnostic Evaluation of Articulation and Phonology (DEAP) 
  • The Fisher- Atkins Articulation Survey 
  • Sounds Write Literacy Assessment
